Shipping policy

Short version: free shipping on contiguous-US orders over $35, flat rates below that, and USPS-calculated rates to Alaska, Hawaii and the territories.

All orders ship from the United States. We currently ship within the United States only.

Processing time

Orders are packed and handed to the carrier within 1–2 business days. Orders placed on a weekend or holiday start processing the next business day. You'll get tracking by email as soon as the label scans.

Contiguous US — 48 states and DC

  • Free Economy shipping on orders of $35 or more, applied automatically at checkout.
  • Economy, 0–5 lb — $4.90
  • Economy, 5–70 lb — $19.90
  • Standard, 0–1 lb — $6.90
  • Standard, 1–5 lb — $9.90

The $35 threshold is calculated on the order subtotal, before tax and shipping.

Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and military addresses

We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. Rates to these destinations are calculated by USPS at checkout based on your address and package weight. The $35 free-shipping offer doesn't apply to these destinations.

International

We don't currently ship outside the United States.

Delivery estimates

Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are carrier estimates, not guarantees — carriers gonna carrier. Once a package is with the carrier, its schedule is theirs.

Warm weather

Roughly May through September, chocolate and shipping boxes don't always get along. We pack with the season in mind, but we can't guarantee against melting in transit or on a hot doorstep. If your order arrives melted, contact us — see our Refund & Return Policy.

Lost, delayed or damaged packages

Risk of loss passes to you once we hand the package to the carrier. That said, we're not going to leave you holding a box of melted chocolate: if a package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us and we'll sort it out.
